The upbeat, strummy guitar and moaning, wailing slide combo reminds me of Bob Wills' band. That same sort of classic country irony between the sadness of the lyrics and the bouncy vitality of their delivery is really effective here, too. I could name more than a few Carter Family songs this puts me in mind of. When the vocals kicked in, I immediately thought of Uncle Tupelo and that band's offshoots (all of which I enjoy immensely).
It's very simple and direct without sounding incomplete or thin...a very well-crafted tune.

I like your style immensely, this is so different & good. It's almost pop country with that cheeky little twist in the lyrical delivery, so damn catchy I hope you keep writing & get an album together, this is great Your image in the pic just outside the door is also way cool, good luck I hope you get to the top of the heap

Very nice song, original title (wouldn't wanna have 1000 in my mouth ) Idd, guitar is very smooth!
